Hydrogen – Handling and Distribution

Hydrogen is a very important element. It plays a major role when it comes to new solutions for energy and technology. This course is about how hydrogen can be transported, converted, liquefied and stored. We will learn about the many properties of hydrogen and why it is so important for a sustainable future.

How does hydrogen behave and how does it react with other materials? How can we use hydrogen safely – for example, to store energy, in fuel cells or in industry. How is hydrogen produced? There are various methods, for example steam reforming or electrolysis. We also look at new ideas for producing hydrogen biologically – a possibility for so-called “green” hydrogen.
